First steps
The bloc is moved to the central square of the quarries. For the first time after 500 years a bloc will be "sbozzato" in the Cava (quarry) (timeframe approx 6 months) before transportation into the studio. The reasons were the same for Michelangelo in 1506 as for Anna Chromy in 2006: because of the extraordinary dimensions the weight has to be reduced on site first.
